Online Voting for Students:
We have partnered with Kids Voting USA, a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that teaches students about the concepts of citizenship, civic responsibility, democracy and the importance of political participation. Through the help of this organization, the Walton County Supervisor of Elections can now administer school elections using an online voting program called DoubleClick Democracy. To learn more about this process please visit the Kids Voting website. We have also partnered with the Florida Joint Center for Citizenship to assist with conducting student mock elections. They also offer additional resources to help civics educators.

Student Education & Voter Registration Services:
The Walton County Supervisor of Elections is committed to educating students about voting and the democratic process. Every year, our office visits schools across the county to educate and register students to vote. Students participate in several types of school elections including Sunshine State Young Reader Elections, student council elections, homecoming elections, prom elections, and senior class elections. During these elections, the Walton County Elections office creates electronic ballots (see section about online voting above), discusses voting history and rights, and conducts the election at no cost to the schools. These elections are a lot of fun for everyone involved. For more information, please contact our office.
