On Election Day, which is always on a Tuesday, the polls open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise stated. If you are in line at the polling place when the polls close, you will be permitted to cast a ballot.
Election Day Voting Locations:
If you choose to cast your ballot on Election Day, you must go to your home precinct’s polling place to do so.
Do not hesitate to ask if you have questions on procedures for casting your ballot or using the voting equipment. Sample ballots are available for review prior to casting your ballot.
If you need assistance to vote, notify the poll worker. You may bring someone with you who can help you or you can request that two poll workers provide you with assistance.
A current identification that includes your photo and signature must be shown to vote at a polling place.
If you need to change your residence address, notify the poll worker. They will assist you with completing the necessary paperwork to update your record or in determining if you are at the correct polling place.
Please Note: A new state law requires certain voters, who make an address change from another Florida county at the polls, to vote a provisional ballot. (Active uniformed service members and his or her family are excluded from this requirement.) To avoid having to vote a provisional ballot, be sure you make your address change before going to the polls to vote.
In some instances, a voter may be required to vote a provisional ballot that will be reviewed by the canvassing board. If a voter is issued a provisional ballot, they can check the status of that ballot by clicking this link:
