Presidential Preference Primary – January 31, 2012 – (Books Close: January 3)
Primary - August 14, 2012 – (Books Close: July 16)
General - November 6, 2012 – (Books Close: October 9)  


Judicial Office, State Attorney, Public Defender Qualifying Week: April 16, noon - April 20, noon
Federal, State, Multicounty, County, District & Party Office Qualifying Week: June 4, noon - June 8, noon
Judicial Office, State Attorney, Public Defender Petitions Due: March 19, noon
Federal, State, Multicounty, County, District & Party Office Petitions Due: May 7, noon

►Pre-Filing Forms [Candidates may pre-file anytime before Qualifying Week] (Only these forms may be pre-filed.)

     ▪ DS-DE 9 - Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Campaign Depository  Must be filed before
                          contributions and expenditures are made and before petitions are gathered.

     ▪ DS-DE 83 or DS-DE 84 - Statement of Candidate - Must be filed within (10) days after filing Form DS-DE 9. 
                                                   (DS-DE 83 is for Judicial Candidates)

                                                        25 - nonpartisan office, 26 - judge)

     ▪ Form 6 or Form 1 - Full and Public Disclosure of Financial Interests (Form 1 for Special Districts) 

►Certified Petition Signatures or Qualifying Fee 

     ▪ Certified Petition Signatures: DS-DE 104 - 1% of total registered voters of that district. (See due dates above)
                                                               (370) valid petitions for county offices, (25) for special dist
                                                               Petitions are verified by SOE office at $0.10 each.

     ▪ Qualifying Fee:        Filing Fee = 3% of the 2011 Salary
                                           Party Assessment - Partisan Candidates = 2% of the 2011 Salary
                                           Election Assessment = 1% of the 2011 Salary
                                           Special Districts = $25 or 25 petitions
